After such an amazing year in 2019 for us, it was not the end of the decade celebrations we were hoping for. Being part of the south coast community, we were on alert from late December from our emergency services that the fire could jump the shoalhaven river and quickly spread through our amazing Kangaroo valley towards the amazing Fitzroy Falls, Exeter and the Southern Highlands.

We made the hardest decision to speak to owners of properties and guests and put safety first, cancelling bookings for Christmas and New Year. It was a hard decision and a situation for us and all of those involved looking forward to a well earned holiday break. However, the thought that a guest could be trapped without power, food, telecommunication or worse was not worth it.

The threat has not as yet completely subsided however we are safe, our beautiful valley, Fitzroy Falls and Southern Highlands area has been touched by fires, but our broader community mourns the devastating loss of homes and wildlife life, properties and belongings gone. Our community is closer than before. Our summer is not over and we remain vigilant.

We will keep you updated via social media and website when updates are available. We will be in touch to reschedule your booking if there is any change to safety.

Some of our homes are in safe regions to visit, such as

 - Bowral,

 - Berrima

 - Fitzroy Falls.

If you want to give support for our region, once the fire threat has fully dissipated, take a trip here, support local businesses and producers. It will be the best way to bring a smile to our faces and help our community rebuild. Share our post for others to know about what we are going through and how they can help now and in the future.
